BAJANTHRI) 25-07-2024 On 18.07.2024, none appeared for the petitioner so also today. On 18.07.2024, the following order was passed: "Prima facie the petitioner has not made out a case for the reasons that his grievance is limited to the extent that on account of seizure of a truck along with the goods and its releasing security amount of Rs.60,000/- was deposited on behalf of the petitioner on 23.06.2016. In a quasi judicial matter, orders were in favour of the petitioner resultantly residue security amount which is stated to have been deposited on behalf of the petitioner was released on 07.09.2016 vide
Patna High Court CWJC No.14656 of 2016(6) dt.25-07-2024 2/2 cheque no.346157. Therefore, hardly the residue security amount of Rs.60,000/- was with the respondent-department for about less than three months. Therefore, petitioner may not be entitled to interest on the alleged belated release of residue security amount of Rs.60,000/-.
2. In order to give one opportunity, re-list this matter on 25.07.2024. It is made clear that no further time would be granted."
2. In the light of the aforementioned order, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
