Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State. This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Mahila P.S. Case No. 10 of 2021, registered for the offence punishable under Section 376(AB) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of POCSO Act.

The informant is the mother of the victim, who was allegedly raped by the petitioner. On careful perusal of the First Information Report, I am of the view that considering the gravity of the offence alleged, the petitioner does not deserve to be released on bail for the present.

This application is accordingly rejected.
