The present petition has been filed seeking the following relief :- "(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus to quash the entire selection process under the Advertisement No. 01/2015 ATS Published by Inspector General of Police, ATS in daily Newspaper Hindustan dt. 30.06.2015 for selection of Cooks, Water bearers (ten posts each) and the two posts of sweepers. The said advertisement has been published at the behest of senior rank Police Officers with a

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent- State has submitted by referring to the counter affidavit filed in the present case that the petitioner had applied for being appointed on the post of Water Bearer and was allotted Roll no. - 1188, however, he did not turn up at the venue, on the date fixed for taking part in the recruitment process/ appearing in the test, hence, he has not been selected. 3.

The aforesaid aspect of the matter has not been disputed by the petitioner, hence, the present writ petition, being devoid of any merit, stands dismissed.
