JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 19-12-2019 The appellants have prayed for the following relief: "The present Letters Patent Appeal is being filed against the order dated 07.01.2014 passed by the learned single Judge in CWJC No. 7648 of 2012 (Hirdyanand Singh Vs. the State of Bihar & Ors.)
Patna High Court L.P.A No.711 of 2014(4) dt.19-12-2019 2/2 whereby and whereunder the District Magistrate, Patna was directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the appellants/interveners for settlement of land (which was the subject matter of writ petition in question) and further restraining the respondents from demolishing their houses over the same land, on the other hand, the District Magistrate has been directed by the Hon'ble Court to remove he encroachment from the same land, which is in direct conflict with the above mentioned direction which is severely affecting the right to take statutory recourse as well as the right to life guaranteed under the constitution of India and further pass any appropriate order/orders in the interest of justice."
Despite repeated calls, none has appeared on behalf of the appellants.
