1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That the instant writ application has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of 'Certiorari' for quashing the order dated 04.04.14, communicated to the petitioners vide memo no.12 dt. 09.04.14, issued by the Circle Officer, Kanti, Muzaffarpur whereby he has directed the petitioners to remove the encroachment or else necessary action would be taken in complete violation of law and further prayer is to direct the respondents to settle the land in favour of the petitioners and others who are residing in the plot in question pertaining to
Patna High Court CWJC No.9373 of 2014(3) dt.01-05-2024 2/2 Khata No.163, Khesra No.664 since more than 50 years."
2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
