The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 307 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is said to have assaulted Lalan Sah with an iron rod on his head. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the parties to the dispute are agnates. There is delay in lodging of the F.I.R. The injury on Lalan Sah alleged to have caused by the petitioner has been found to be simple in nature. The petitioner is in custody since 21.3.2021 and has no criminal antecedent.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.39464 of 2021(5) dt.28-02-2022 2/2 taking into consideration the contents of the injury report of Lalan Sah and the petitioner having remained in custody for 11 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Majhauliya P.S. Case no.605 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran.
