2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Maner P.S. Case No. 274 of 2024 registered for the offence under Sections 302, 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. There is an allegation against the petitioner that he, along with other co-accused persons, pursuant to a conspiracy, committed the murder of the informant's uncle, Dev Kumar Singh, with the intention to eliminate witnesses in cases relating to the attempted murder of the informant's father and,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.30655 of 2026(2) dt.08-05-2026 2/3 subsequently, the murder of the informant's father, registered as Maner P.S. Case No. 689 of 2022 and Maner P.S. Case No. 435 of 2023 respectively.

4. The postmortem report of the deceased Dev Kumar Singh reveals that the cause of death was due to the combined effect of asphyxia and hemorrhagic shock resulting from firearm injuries.

5. There are specific allegations against the petitioner that he instigated the co-accused to kill the informant's uncle, Dev Kumar Singh, and pursuant thereto, co-accused Dayanand Rai and Dal Singh shot dead the informant's uncle, while another co-accused, Tarun Kumar, fired upon the informant.

6. The petitioner is in custody since 09.11.2025 and has 11 criminal antecedents.

7. Considering the nature and the gravity of the offence as well as the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this application for regular bail stands rejected.

8. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case
