KUMAR ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 03-03-2020 Shri Bipin Kumar Sinha, learned counsel for the CBI, states that charge-sheet already stands presented before the appropriate Court and cognizance stands taken. It is seen that the instant petition was registered on the basis of request made by the Court in terms of orders dated 08.06.2016 and 09.06.2016 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 18211 of 2016, titled as Munchun Kumar Rai @ Munchun Kumar Vs. The State of Bihar.

The learned Single Judge, dealing with the said matters, had directed the matter be placed before Hon'ble the

Patna High Court CWJC No.10288 of 2016(22) dt.03-03-2020 2/2 Chief Justice for it be treated as Public Interest Litigation. Resultantly, the instant petition was registered on 28.06.2016. Thereafter, this Court has been monitoring the matter.

It is seen that with the passage of time, the present petition has outlived its purpose inasmuch as with the completion of investigation, appropriate action stands taken. As such, we close the present proceedings reserving liberty to any public spirited person to take recourse to such remedies, as are otherwise available in accordance with law, if need so arises, in an appropriate proceeding.
