The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. To pay the petitioners their salary immediately and forthwith which has not been paid from June 1992 to May 1998 and from 1.4.2001 to August 2007 i.e. from the date of retrenchment till absorption.
2. To issue appropriate writ/ writs, order/ orders, direction/ directions in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the order contained in letter no. 24/ we 6- 052/94-1454- Pri on Mass Edu. Dt. 17.8.1994, of Director, Mass Edu. Bihar Patna and letter No. 24/ we 1-27/2001 M. Edu.
2284 dt. 12.9.2001 of Dy. Secretary to Govt., Primary Secondary and Adult Education, Govt. of Bihar, Patna.
3. To issue any other order/ orders and/ or direction/ directions as Your Lordships may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case for doing conscionable

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the respondent authorities for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
