The request of the petitioner for being granted license on compassionate ground because of the death of her husband has not yet been decided upon.

Patna High Court CWJC No.8154 of 2022(4) dt.09-11-2022 2/2 However, from the counter affidavit, it appears that the application for grant of license on compassionate ground was filed by the petitioner after two years of the death of her husband and during the period when she was a member of the Panchayat Samiti. In any view of the matter, the application ought not to have been kept pending and a decision should have been taken but considering the afore-noted set of facts, we are not inclined to accede to the request of the petitioner for issuance of any direction to the authorities for granting license to the petitioner under compassionate ground.

The petition is accordingly dismissed.

Cost easy.
