The petitioner is in custody since 06.01.2022 in connection with Manjhagarh P.S. Case No.04 of 2022 registered for offences under Sections 30(a)/30(c) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. There is recovery of 25.500 litres of country made liquor from joint house of the petitioner.
Considering the fact that the petitioner has four antecedents - one under the Indian Penal Code and three under the provisions of the Excise Act and he is in custody since 06.01.2022, he shall be released on bail after framing of charge or on completion of one year in custody whichever is later, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.30175 of 2022(2) dt.20-08-2022 2/2 two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Excise Court No.1, Gopalganj in connection with Manjhagarh P.S. Case No.04 of 2022.
The petitioner will visit Manjhagarh Police Station on the first Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
