1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the Kendriya Vidyalay.

2. The petitioner no. 1 is ten years daughter of the petitioner no. 2. Petitioner no. 2 is working with Indian Army and is presently posted at Leh. The petitioner no. 1 passed IVth standard in the year 2024 and applied for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mashrak for admission in class-V in the session 2024-25. The petitioner no. 1 was not admitted by the Kendriya Vidyalay leading to the filing of the present writ application.

3. When the present writ application was taken up on 16.04.2025 this court requested learned counsel appearing for the Kendriya Vidyalay to take instruction and to admit the student i.e. petitioner no. 1 in the Kendriya Vidyalay, Mashrak for the current session of 2025-26 in class-V.

4. On instruction, learned counsel for the Kendriya Vidyalay submits that taking into consideration the fact that the father of petitioner no. 1 is posted in Indian Army at Leh, which is a difficult area, Kendriya Vidyalay is ready to take admission of the petitioner no. 1 in class-V in the current session of 2025-26.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to get the child admitted in class-V in the current session 2025-26.

6. Having considered the submission of learned counsel for the parties, Kendriya Vidyalay administration i.e. respondent no. 2, 3 & 4 are directed to admit the petitioner no. 1 in class-V in the current session of 2025-26 immediately.

7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ application is disposed.
