The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1.(i) For Certiorari for quashing order dated 30.5.2015 passed by Commandant-167 BN-CRPF by which the petitioner claim for undergoing promotional course (ROBC-Course) has been rejected.

(ii) For issuance of appropriate writ (s)/ order (s)/direction (s) particularly in the nature of Mandamus directing and commanding the respondent authorities to consider the case of petitioner for grant of promotion and

Patna High Court CWJC No.15325 of 2015(2) dt.08-09-2023 2/2 consequential benefit attached to it and further directing the respondents authorities to allow the petitioner to complete his course of ROBC (Radio Operator Basic Course) as he was declared passed/he qualified in the test for pursuing the course of ROBC, keeping in view the fact that petitioner is discharging all the jobs/duties assigned to him by his senior official."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law for the purposes of challenging the policy of the respondents prohibiting a colour blind person from being sent for promotional courses. Liberty so sought is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
