2. Notwithstanding the fact, the petitioner who superannauted from the post of Panchayat Sevak long back in the year 1994, when he had not been accorded his final pension and other retiral benefits, has rushed to this Court by filing the present writ petition.

3. A supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent no. 3, 5 and 6 with a categorical averment that vide letter no. 2218 dated 15.11.2024 the concerned respondent has forwarded the pension paper alongwith the

Patna High Court CWJC No.8322 of 2022(6) dt.03-04-2025 2/3 service book of the petitioner to ascertain/fix the pension of the petitioner and other retiral dues.

Ms. Nivedita Nirvikar, learned Senior Advocate representing the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna on instruction has submitted that on receipt of the letter aforenoted and the service book of the petitioner, the authority letter dated 04.12.2024 has already been issued and necessary payment shall be made through the concerned treasury/bank.

5. Learned Advocate for the State at this juncture also apprised this Court that all the other substantive retiral benefits have been paid to the petitioner, as has been disclosed in the supplementary counter affidavit.

6. In view of the submissions advanced by learned Advocate for the respective parties, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the writ petition with the hope and expectation that the appropriate pension and the other benefits must have been received by the petitioner.

7. In case, there is still any grievance, the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach before the concerned authorities by filing a representation. In case any of the grievance of the petitioner has not been redressed, the same shall be looked into and bring to its logical conclusion by passing an appropriate order.
