2. The petitioner who superannuated from the post of Section Officer on 31.07.2020 from the office of the respondent, Veer Kuwar Singh University, Ara, filed the present writ petition, seeking a direction upon the respondent authority to complete the verification process with immediate effect and
Patna High Court CWJC No.7532 of 2023(5) dt.04-12-2023 2/3 ensure the payment of arrears of all the retiral benefits and the salary forthwith.
3. A counter affidavit has been on behalf of respondent nos. 3 to 6, duly sworn by Inspector of Colleges (Science) Veer Kuwar Singh University, Ara.

It is submitted at the bar that after getting pay verification done by the department, the Branch Manager, Central Bank of India, Veer Kuwar Singh University, Ara has been requested by the answering respondent vide letter no. 113 dated 10.10.2023 to release the payment against arrears of pension, gratuity and leave encashment amounting to Rs. 3,47,820/- in favour of the petitioner.

He further clarified that the substantive amount of pension, gratuity and other retiral dues have already been paid to the petitioner, prior to the filing of the present writ petition after the superannuation of the petitioner. He thus, submits that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed.
6. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits across the Board that as the copy of the counter affidavit has been served upon him today in the Court itself and thus, it would be proper if some time is allowed to get instruction from the petitioner.

7. Considering the averments made on behalf of the university, requesting the Bank concerned to release the payment against arrear of pension, gratuity, leave encashment amounting to Rs. 3,47,820/- in favour of the petitioner. The present writ petition stands disposed off.
8. It is needless to observe that the petitioner is at liberty that if still he has any grievance with regard to the nonpayment of any other dues or less payment to his entitlement, he shall be at liberty to file a proper representation before the Registrar, University, who shall consider the same and pass appropriate order.
