The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Kudra P. S. Case No. 156 of 2020 dated 31.05.2020, instituted for the offence under Section 30 (A) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.30400 of 2020(2) dt.18-12-2020 2/3 185.270 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a rice mill, of which petitioner is not the owner. The owner of the said rice mill is Ajay Kumar Singh @ Nanhkoo Singh. The name of the petitioner in this case has transpired in the confession of one Lavkush Kumar, who was arrested in connection with the offence. There is no recovery of liquor from the possession of the petitioner.

The petitioner has clean antecedents.

Regard being had to the afore-stated facts, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court of A.D.J.-Vth cum Special Judge (Excise), Kaimur at Bhabhua, District - Kaimur in connection with Kudra P. S. Case No. 156 of

The application stands allowed.
