2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with S. Tr. No. 344/2023 (arising out of Hajipur Sadar P.S. Case No. 451 of 2021), lodged on 07.05.2021 under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge-V, Vaishali (Hajipur).
3. The prayer for bail of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 20.12.2022 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 40053 of 2022. While rejecting the prayer for bail of the petitioner, it was observed that the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after one year from the date of passing of the order and the Trial Court was directed to expedite the trial.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on earlier occasion, a report with regard to the present stage of the case has been called for.
5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
6. In pursuant to the order dated 29.05.2024, a report has been received through letter no. 26, dated 06.06.2024 from the Additional Sessions Judge-V, Vaishali at Hajipur indicating therein that upon commencement of trial, two prosecution witnesses have been examined till date and the next date is fixed for 13.06.2024 for the prosecution evidence.
7. In the present facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.
8. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected at present.
