The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(I) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner to the post of Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes with effect from 03.12.2013 i.e. on the date juniors to the petitioner have been granted promotion.

(II) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant the petitioner all consequential benefit of promotion to the post of Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes with effect from 03.12.2013. (III) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his subsisting grievances, if any. Liberty so sought is granted.
