JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 19-05-2021 The present writ petition has been taken up for consideration through the mode of Video conferencing in view of the prevailing lock-down on account of COVID 19 Pandemic, requiring social distancing.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "(i) To direct the Respondents to take appropriate decision for which petitioner has already submitted his application dated 12.12.2017 for the appointment on the post of Chokidar (Gramin Police) on the basis of compassionate appointment. A copy of application

Patna High Court CWJC No.1461 of 2021(2) dt.19-05-2021 2/2 dated 12.12.2017 is annexed as Annexure-1 to this application.

(ii) To direct the Respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of Chokidar (Gramin Police) where the petitioner Grandfather was posted and died in harness in the year 2017."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to approach the District Magistrate, Sitamarhi for redressal of the grievances of the petitioner. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate representation before the District Magistrate, Sitamarhi and in case such representation is filed within a period of twelve weeks from today, the same shall be disposed of in accordance with law by a reasoned order by the District Magistrate, Sitamarhi within a period of eighteen weeks thereafter.
