The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That by way of this writ application the petitioners pray for issuance of writ or direction commanding and directing the respondents to get them selected and empanelled in the final selection list and issue appointment letters to the petitioners as they are the bonafide candidate for the selection for the post
Patna High Court CWJC No.16404 of 2015(2) dt.08-09-2023 2/2 of Home Guard Force as they have been selected and their names have been empanelled in final list of selection candidates (provisionally) but could not get their names published in the final selection list which is illegal and arbitrary."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
