The petitioner claims to have filed an application for renewal/re-issuance of his passport after making correction in his date of birth on 14.07.2015 but no decision has been taken as yet. Having regard to the aforementioned facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.3, i.e., the Regional Passport Officer, Patna to take a final decision in the matter on its own merit and in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
