ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 17-07-2025 It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners that this file has been refiled after the delay of 17 days. As per statement made by learned counsel for the petitioners and after perusal of report made by the Stamp Reporter, delay in filing of this case is condoned.

2. Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, having regard to the fact that the petitioners are having an

Patna High Court CWJC No.10376 of 2025(2) dt.17-07-2025 2/2 alternative and efficacious remedy of filing a statutory appeal against the final orders dated 21.10.2024 passed by the Certificate Officer (i.e., the respondent No. 10 herein) under Section 10 of the Bihar & Orrisa Public Demands Recovery Act, 1914 before the appellate authority. The petitioners are directed to file an appeal within a period of four weeks from today. On such appeal being filed, the appellate authority is directed to take the same into consideration and pass necessary orders strictly in accordance with law duly taking into consideration the grounds raised by the petitioner in the appeal.

3. Till such time, the appeal is filed within the stipulated time fixed by this Court, the authorities are directed not to take any coercive steps against the petitioners. In case the petitioners do not file any appeal within the stipulated time, the authorities are free to take necessary action against the petitioners strictly in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
