2. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition is being disposed of at this stage itself.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for seeking relief as prayed for in the present writ application, the petitioner has already filed a detailed representation before the Licensing Officer-cum-Divisional Forest Officer, Patna Forest Division, Patna on 25.11.2024 (Annexure-P/5) requesting him not interfere with the operation of 18" diameter Saw Mill. As per the petitioners, the said representation is still pending and has not yet been disposed of.
4. The petitioners submit that they would be satisfied if an appropriate direction is given to the Licensing Officercum-Divisional Forest Officer, Patna Forest Division, Patna to dispose of their representation on merit within a specified period.
5. In view of the nature of the prayer being made by the learned counsel for petitioners, the writ application stands
Patna High Court CWJC No.8555 of 2025(2) dt.17-06-2025 3/3 disposed of directing the Licensing Officer-cum-Divisional Forest Officer, Patna Forest Division, Patna to dispose of the representation dated 25.11.2024 (Annexure-P/5) within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
6. It is made clear that the order disposing of the representation shall be a reasoned and speaking order and shall be passed after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.
7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of. All pending Interlocutory application shall also be deemed to have been disposed of.
