The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for direction to the respondent Bihar Public Service Commission to fix the cut-off date for calculating maximum age limit for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer under Advertisement No. 13/2026 dated 25.02.2026, as 01.08.2019 instead of 01.08.2020 in the light of delay of almost 6 years in

Patna High Court CWJC No.7237 of 2026 dt.12-05-2026 2/2 conducting the recruitment process.

Learned counsel for the Bihar Public Service Commission raised preliminary objection and submits that the time for filling of the form has ended on 20.03.2026 towards Advertisement No. 13/2026 but after the closing of the time period for filing application, i.e., 20.03.2026, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. From the record, it transpires that writ petition was filed on 28th of April, 2026.

5. This Court is of the view that entertaining writ petition after ending the time of filing the application towards the said Advertisement shall create unnecessary hurdle. Therefore, without entering into merit or demerit of the case, this writ petition is dismissed.
