2. Petitioner in the present case is seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to conduct proper and fair investigation of Ara Nagar P.S. Case No.197 of 2020 dated 15.05.2020 registered under Sections 341, 323, 498(A), 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. It appears that the petitioner is an accused in the aforementioned case which has been lodged by his wife. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner was living a happy life with his wife and two children who were born out of the

WJC No.989 of 2023(2) dt.31-10-2023 2/2 said wedlock and during this period the petitioner acquired certain properties and ornaments in the name of his wife but thereafter his wife fell in illicit relationship with a person and conspired to grab the property of the petitioner and lodged a false case against him.

4. Learned counsel for the State, however, submits that the case is still under investigation.

5. Having regard to the kind of submissions noted hereinabove, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Bhojpur at Ara (respondent no.3) to examine the grievance of the petitioner and ensure that a proper and fair investigation takes place in the matter within a reasonable period.

6. This writ application stands disposed of accordingly.
