JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-09-2022 Though the present writ petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 22.09.2021, issued by the Registrar, Registration, Patna, whereby and whereunder the application of the petitioners for grant of extension of time for registration of instrument in question and deposit of fine etc. has been rejected, however, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has filed a counter affidavit, wherein, it has been stated that after making adjustment of the amount of Stamp Duty already paid by the

Patna High Court CWJC No.8408 of 2022(2) dt.08-09-2022 2/2 petitioners, some more amount is required to be deposited by the petitioners for the purposes of registration of the instrument in question, to which, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are ready to pay fine but the fine for the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown period, may be waived and the total payable amount be calculated, so that the petitioner can deposit the same, forthwith.

The learned counsel for the respondent- State has got no objection to the aforesaid proposal of the petitioners and submits that the additional amount to be paid by the petitioners, shall be calculated by not only adjusting the Stamp Duty already paid by the petitioners but also adding the fine amount, after waiving the fine amount for the period which has been declared to be the exemption period, on account of Covid-19 Pandemic, whereafter, total amount, to be paid by the petitioners, shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks from today. It is directed accordingly.

The writ petition stands disposed off with the aforesaid directions.
