The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Laheri P.S. Case No.184 of 2018 registered under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is neither named in the first information report nor any incriminating article has been recovered from his possession. Though, the petitioner has been remanded to judicial custody in connection with the present case on 24.11.2018, he has not been put on Test Identification Parade till date.

Per contra, learned counsel appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender. He has been

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected for the present. The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of the order, failing which the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
