This is an application for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Narpatganj P.S. Case No. 33 of 2023, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 379, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.
It is alleged that an altercation had taken place in between the accused persons and the informant on the alleged date and time of occurrence, during the course whereof, the petitioner had assaulted the brother of the informant, namely, Shambhu Sharma, by farsa, resulting in him being inflicted with grievous injuries.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31149 of 2023(2) dt.14-07-2023 2/2 petitioner is innocent, he has been falsely implicated in the present case and he is having a clean antecedent. 5.
Per contra, the learned APP for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, taking into account the materials available on record as also considering the fact that the injuries, sustained by the brother of the informant, namely, Shambhu Sharma, attributable to the petitioner herein, has been found to be grievous in nature, I am not inclined to at least grant the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, hence, the present petition stands dismissed.
