2. The prayer for bail of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 07.03.2024 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 82613/2023.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 23.12.2022 but in the order dated 07.03.2024 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 82613/2023, it has inadvertently been recorded as 23.12.2023. Learned counsel further submits that there is no progress in the trial till date and not a single witness has been examined.
4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is a direct allegation against the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29759 of 2025(3) dt.01-08-2025 2/2 petitioner that he fired on the head of the deceased resulting in his death.
5. In the present facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.
6. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner in connection with Sessions Trial No. 376 of 2023 (arising out of Danapur P.S. Case No. 1454 of 2022), pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Danapur, Patna is hereby rejected.
7. Speedy trial is a constitutional vision of justice. Accordingly, the Trial Court is directed to take all necessary steps to concluded the trial expeditiously.
