2. The present petition has been preferred for the following relief(s):

"(i) to issue an appropriate writ/writs and direction/directions to the Respondents to give the compensation for the land measuring area 02 Decimals and 200 Squire Kari from Khesra No.

157/1471 Khata No. 146 under Mauza Kalpir, Block Tedhagachh, Thana No. 126, District

Patna High Court CWJC No.7446 of 2024(2) dt.27-07-2026 2/3 Kishanganj and construction thereupon 01 Shop Katra of 12 ft x 12 ft and 03 rooms with Bath rooms and tube-wells for residential purposes, which has been acquired under Land 06 Acquisition Case No. 05/2019-20 in Project "Araria-Galgalia New B.G. Rail Line" as the petitioner has not been given single penny for the compensation either for the land acquired or for the construction thereupon;

(ii) for the direction(s) to the Respondents not to acquire the land without giving proper compensation under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (the Act for the sake of brevity);

(iii) To issue any other writ/writs and/or direction/directions as your Lordships may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

3. That it will suffice if the lady, Jahana Khatun @ Jahana Begum is allowed to approach the District Land Acquisition Officer, Kishanganj ( respondent no. 5) so that an

4. Learned State counsel has no objection.

5. In that background, the writ petition stands disposed of allowing the petitioners to approach the District Land Acquisition Officer, Kishanganj within a period of four weeks who shall be duty bound to look into the matter and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months thereafter.
