JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 21-08-2023 Heard Mr. Prafull Chandra Jha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Aditya Nath Jha, learned AC to SC 18 for the State.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the wife of the petitioner, who had retired from the post of A.N.M. in the Health Department, was entitled for receiving G.P.F. and Group Insurance amount but the same was not paid to her.

3. In the aforesaid backgrounds, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks to file a detail representation before the respondent no.4 (the Civil Surgeon cum

Patna High Court CWJC No.7132 of 2023 dt.21-08-2023 2/2 Chief Medical Officer, Darbhanga) and the respondent no.4 is directed to take appropriate steps for making payment of G.P.F. and the Group Insurance amount to the petitioner, due to the deceased employee, within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of the representation. Petitioner being the husband of the deceased employee is entitled for receiving the amount of G.P.F. and the Group Insurance, due to the deceased employee.

4. The Provident Officer, Darbhanga is directed to call for all the deduction statement from the places where the deceased employee was posted within the aforesaid period of six weeks and ensure to make payment of the provident fund amount to the petitioner, due to the deceased employee, without making any further delay.

5. With the above observation/directions, the present petition is disposed of.
