The petitioner, who is in custody since 10.06.2020, seeks bail in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 91 of 2020 dated 09.06.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It appears from the prosecution version that 801 litres of liquor was recovered from a pick-up van of which the petitioner was one of the drivers. The petitioner has claimed complete innocence about the presence of the liquor in the pick-up van.

Regard being had to the fact that the petitioner

No.31326 of 2020(2) dt.01-12-2020 2/2 has clean antecedent and also taking into account his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, (Excise) Purnea in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 91 of 2020.
