Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the entire retiral dues of the petitioner has stood paid, however, despite the petitioner having admittedly worked for 27 years 2 months and 5 days, the respondent authorities have calculated the retiral dues, by taking the service rendered by the petitioner to be 21 years 9 months and 11 days only, hence, rectification is required to be done.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1502 of 2017(6) dt.28-08-2019 2/2 petitioner, I deem it fit and proper to grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent no.5 i.e. the Chief Engineer, Sone Canal Division, Patna, by filing appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today, whereupon necessary orders shall be passed by the respondent no.5 and if required, necessary rectification shall be carried out and the remaining differential amount of retiral dues shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks thereafter. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid directions.
