Mr. Apurv Harsh ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 18-11-2019 The only question involved in the present writ petition is with regard to payment of statutory interest on the delayed payment of the G.P.F. amount.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had applied for payment of up-to-date interest on his G.P.F. amount in the year 2017 but till date, he has not been paid the same.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that the petitioner has belatedly applied for payment of interest on G.P.F. amount, hence he is not entitled to any such payment.

Patna High Court CWJC No.3675 of 2017(6) dt.18-11-2019 2/2 Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and appropriate to grant liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate representation before the District Programme Officer (Establishment), West Champaran, Bettiah who shall examine the case of the petitioner for grant of interest on the delayed payment of G.P.F. amount, particularly with regard to the actual date of filing of application by the petitioner for withdrawal of the G.P.F. amount and thereafter, pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of 08 weeks of filing of such representation by the petitioner. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
