Having regard to the facts that the petitioner has already filed his objection under Section 9 of the Bihar and Orissa Public Demands Recovery Act, 1914, to the notice issued under Section 7 of the Act, the present Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Certificate Officer (Respondent No. 7) to pass final order under Section 10 of the Act duly taking into

Patna High Court CWJC No.10989 of 2025(4) dt.25-08-2025 2/2 consideration the objection filed by the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to mention that before passing any orders, the party shall be put on notice and given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the parties.

3. With the above directions this Writ Petition stands disposed of.

4. Till such time the final orders are passed the District Certificate Officer (Respondent No. 7) is directed not to take any coercive steps against the petitioner. However, it is made clear that in case the petitioner does not cooperate with the disposal of the case, District Certificate Officer (Respondent No. 7) is free to pass necessary orders in accordance with law.
