Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

This application for regular bail arises out of Forbesganj P.S. Case No. 360 of 2020, disclosing offence punishable under Section 307 and other allied Sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is son-in-law of the informant. Informant has alleged in the FIR that the petitioner and his mother attempted to kill the informant's daughter i.e. the petitioner's wife by administering poison.

No.41044 of 2021(3) dt.05-01-2022 2/2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that for the offence alleged to have taken place on 27.04.2020, the FIR came to be registered on 10.05.2020 without any valid explanation for delay. He has further submitted that the matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and the alleged victim, which had led to registration of FIR for offence punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, has since been compromised.

Considering the aforesaid submission and the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 01.09.2020, this application is allowed. Let the petitioner, above-named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand), with two sureties of the like amount, each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Araria, in Forbesganj P.S. Case No. 360 of 2020.
