In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 709 of 2016, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the co-accused including the petitioner is to have demanded dowry and due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry they have tortured the complainant, however, counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no specific allegation against the petitioner, who is mother-in-law

Looking to the entire facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above-named, be released on anticipatory bail in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-V, Supaul, in connection with Complaint Case No. 709 of 2016, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
