1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(I) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to compensate the petitioner for illegal confinement of the petitioner in Police Custody

Patna High Court CWJC No.8014 of 2016(3) dt.03-10-2024 2/2 as well as judicial custody in between 14.10.2012 to 17.10.2012, in connection with Sitamarhi P.S. Case No.791 of 2012, dated 14.10.2012, registered under bailable offence i.e. under Sections 341, 323, 324, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

(II) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to take suitable departmental action against the erring persons i.e. the Respondent no.8, 9 and 10, for committing wrong and fraud, in connivance with the Respondent no.11."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Director General of Police, Bihar, Patna for redressal of his aforesaids grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off.
