2. It transpires from the record that the petitioner has failed to appear in this case on the previous two occasions, i.e., 23.10.2024 and 18.11.2024.

3. Learned counsel for the Union of India submits that the present writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of the invalidity/disability notice dated 01.07.2013 and for a direction

Patna High Court CWJC No.14434 of 2013(5) dt.16-06-2025 2/3 to provide the petitioner with appropriate/suitable duty to enable him to continue in service, along with a further prayer for his reinstatement with consequential benefits.

4. From the pleadings of the petitioner, it appears that he joined the Central Reserve Police Force in the year 2004 and was sent for training. During the training period, he sustained injuries and subsequently underwent surgery. Post-surgery, it was found that one of his legs had shortened by 3 cm. A Medical Board convened on 21.04.2012 opined that the petitioner was unfit for active duty. Thereafter, the Departmental Rehabilitation Board unanimously recommended medical invalidation of the petitioner, classifying him in Category 'B' instead of 'C', and assigning him Shape-3(P) category. Consequently, a final order dated 01.07.2013 was passed invalidating the petitioner from service. The petitioner challenged the said order. His representation was duly considered at the level of the Inspector General of Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Bihar Sector, Patna, and thereafter, he was removed from service w.e.f. 01.07.2013 after observing all due formalities.

5. It further appears to this Court that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the present matter, as he has remained absent despite repeated opportunities on the previous

Patna High Court CWJC No.14434 of 2013(5) dt.16-06-2025 3/3 two occasions. Even today, upon repeated calls, none has appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution.
