====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 20-01-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sessions Trial No.602 of 2018 arising out of Kateya P.S. Case No. 232 of 2016 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 302, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3-4 of the Diyan Act.

By order dated 16.12.2020, a status report was called for regarding stage of trial in connection with Sessions Trial No.602 of 2018 arising out of Kateya P.S. Case No.232 of 2016. The report is on record, which is kept at flag 'X'. Learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge, Gopalganj submits that out of 10 charge-sheeted witnesses 4 witnesses have been examined till 02.03.2020 and remaining 6 witnesses

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.30231 of 2020(4) dt.20-01-2021 2/2 have to be examined against whom summons issued and warrants were already issued on 19.02.2020.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the bail petition. In the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the above named petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the above named petitioner in connection with Sessions Trial No.602 of 2018 arising out of Kateya P.S. Case No.232 of 2016 pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Gopalganj is hereby rejected. However, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
