Petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for compassionate appointment. The father of the petitioner died in harness on 24.12.1999 while he was working as Assistant Teacher in Middle School Harauli, Anchal-Kusheshwar Asthan, District- Darbhanga. The petitioner submitted application for compassionate appointment and the application for grant of

The case of the petitioner was earlier referred to the Collector, Darbhanga for appropriate decision but the Additional Collector returned the application for compassionate appointment before the District Education Officer, Darbhanga on 28.05.2010. Another letter was issued by the Deputy Collector, Darbhanga which indicate that in terms of the decision by the State Government dated 22.09.2009, the issue of compassionate is returned for appropriate decision. Considering the object behind compassionate appointment, the Court directs the respondents to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
