Petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 1379/2015 in which cognizance has been taken under sections 420, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. The contents of complaint petition go to show that petitioner played role of mediator and moreover, complainant himself averred in the compliant petition that the cheque in question was issued by co-accused Niladri Gupta.
