1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) For issuance of order/orders, direction/directions including the writ of Mandamus commanding the Respondents for grant of Arms License for safety and security of the petitioner.

(ii) For issuance of an order/direction or an appropriate writ holding a declaration that the petitioner deserves an Arms License for his protection and safety."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel the for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Buxar,

Patna High Court CWJC No.8412 of 2024(2) dt.18-07-2024 2/2 to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license on 22.10.2022.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Buxar, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
