This application, for grant of regular bail, arises out of Buxar (Ind.) Police Station Case No. 34 of 2023, dated 06.02.2023, disclosing offences under Sections 147/149/341/323/325/307/504/506 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution case, on the basis of First Information Report, is that the petitioner along with three other accused persons arrived at the field of the informant, and allegedly assaulted the son and nephew of the informant by means of wooden stick and the petitioner assaulted on the head

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that both the parties are co-villagers. He further submits that the reason behind the occurrence is quarrel between the victim and the side of the petitioner over a cricket match. He next submits that petitioner is eighteen years of age having no criminal antecedent.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the informant vehemently opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the victim has sustained grievous injury on the head and was treated in the Trauma Centre, B.H.U. He next submits that in view of the nature of injury, the petitioner does not deserve bail.

Regards being had to the submissions made by the parties and taking into consideration the fact that the occurrence has taken place on trivial issue over a cricket match and that the petitioner, having no criminal antecedent, is eighteen years of age is in custody since 23.03.2023, accordingly, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

This application is, accordingly, allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with
