The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the respondents to make appointment of Class IV post in Rohtas District pursuant to Advertisement No.1 of 201213. The petitioner has been representing for his appointment pursuant to the said Advertisement and complains that the process of appointment has not been concluded. The respondents have filed an affidavit way back in February, 2016 wherein stand was taken that panal publication work is under process and after finalization of penal, selection of Class IV post will be done against the existing vacancy given by other offices of the district.

Neither petitioner nor respondent in a position to say what has been the fate of the exercise undertaken pursuant to the Advertisement No.1 of 201213. In view of the said situation, no purpose will be served by keeping the instant petition pending. Once the respondent authorities have been initiated a process and taken stand on affidavit that the panal publication work is under process and that after finalisation, the selection will be done on available vacancies in the offices of the district, they are obliged to conclude the process without any undue delay expeditiously. Accordingly, this writ is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. It is expected that if the process has not been completed or lapsed then the same be done by the authorities within a period of six months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order.
