Having regard to the relief prayed for in this writ application, the Court is not inclined to grant any indulgence. In the matter of cognizable offence, the petitioner has every right to approach the police authority for registering the case and if the case is not registered by the local police, liberty shall be available to the petitioner under the Cr.P.C. to approach the

Patna High Court CWJC No.11621 of 2019(2) dt.19-06-2019 2/2 competent authority.

If the petitioner approaches the concerned police station for registering a case, the police official shall be under obligation to register the case, if the offence is cognizable. With the aforesaid liberty, this application stands disposed of.
