This writ application has been filed for directing the respondents authority to ensure payment of compensation amount in respect of acquisition of land of the petitioner admeasuring 0.306 acre bearing Khata No. 388, Khesra No. 1518 situated in village Sonbarsa, which was acquired by the Government of Bihar for development of 'India-Nepal Border Road' project to the tune of Rs. 35,74,636/- only in terms of the award passed in the L.A. Case No. 87/12-13 alongwith statutory

Patna High Court CWJC No.7470 of 2023(2) dt.07-10-2023 2/2 interest as well as for directing the respondent no. 6 to dispose of the reference L.A. Case No. 32 of 2018.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Presiding Officer, Muzaffarpur /respondent no. 6 has failed to dispose of the reference L.A. Case No. 32 of 2018 within the stipulated time frame, as mentioned in Section 60(4) of the Right to Fair compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and is still pending for disposal.

4. In that view of the matter, the concerned respondent i.e. respondent no. 6 is directed to dispose of the L.A. Case No. 32 of 2018, which is said to be pending before him, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt / production of copy of this order.

5. With above direction, the writ application stands disposed of.
