The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Barauni P.S. Case No. 468 of 2020 dated 03.12.2020 instituted for the offence under Sections 394 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution of the petitioner is only on the basis of confession of an arrested co-accused person. Apart from the aforesaid confession, there is no other material to connect the petitioner with the offence.

The petitioner is stated to be in custody since 21.12.2020.

The petitioner, as it appears from the paragraph-3 of the petition was made accused earlier in a criminal case but in the aforesaid case he has been granted bail.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41861 of 2021(2) dt.24-05-2022 2/2 Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and the period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai in connection with Barauni P.S. Case No. 468 of 2020.
