The petitioners apprehend their arrest in Cheriya Bariyarpur P.S. Case No.109 of 2019 registered under Sections 147, 149, 323, 353, 188 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code. The informant alleged that on account of non-supply of electric energy, the villagers of Mehda Shahpur under the leadership of Mukhiya blocked N.H.55. The police and other officials made efforts to remove the blockage of road but they continued to sit on the road and the traffic was not allowed to pass through. The informant named 16 persons including the petitioners on the basis of the video footage. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.30472 of 2020(2) dt.17-12-2020 2/2 petitioners made peaceful protest due to non-supply of electric energy. The petitioners did not block the road but they were sitting by the side of the road.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation made against the petitioners and the fact that similarly situated seven other accused persons have already been granted anticipatory bail by order passed in Cr. Misc. No.13264 of 2020, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai in connection with Cheriya Bariyarpur P.S. Case No.109 of 2019, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J) Saurabh/- U T
