It is not in dispute that a Caste Scrutiny Committee has been constituted in the State of Bihar, in pursuance to the direction issued by the Hon'ble Apex Court in case of Kumari Madhuri Patil & Anr. v. Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development & Ors., reported in (1997) 5 SCC 437. In such view of the matter, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Caste Scrutiny Committee, Bihar, Patna, for redressal of his grievances, being aggrieved by the order dated 22.04.2021, passed by the Circle Officer, Daraunda, Siwan, cancelling the Caste certificate, issued in favour of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.13131 of 2021(2) dt.17-11-2022 2/2 petitioner. Liberty so sought, is granted.

It is made clear that in case, the petitioner approaches the Caste Scrutiny Committee, Bihar, Patna, by filing appropriate petition within a period of four weeks from today, the learned Committee shall make endeavours to dispose off the same, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks, thereafter.

It is needless to state that the aforesaid order dated 22.04.2021, passed by the Circle Officer, Daraunda, Siwan, as aforesaid, shall be subject to the final outcome of the case/ petition, to be filed by the petitioner before the Caste Scrutiny Committee, Bihar, Patna.
